I am modding Oblivion and was wondering how to modify a single item without changing every item similar to it in the game. Also, I wanted to know how to put items into a chest so it would only be in that chest and not every chest. How can I do this?

I haven't modded in a while, but as I remember, what you do is select the chest you want to change in the render window and double click it. When the screen comes up, click "edit base"
Change the editor id (ex. moddedchestnumber6) and drag/remove items to the chest, then hit ok, and answer yes when asked if you want to create a new item.

The same should apply for weapons, but instead of changing the contents, change the stats.
