US scientists have used stem cell technology to create mice from two fathers, an advance that they say could help preserve endangered species and even help same-sex couples have their own genetic children one day.

EMBO Installation Grants help 6 scientists set up in Europe

( European Molecular Biology Organization ) Six life science researchers will receive the 2010 EMBO Installation Grants, assisting them to relocate and set up their research groups in the Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal and Turkey. These scientists are the fifth group of awardees since the European Molecular Biology Organization introduced the scheme in 2006.
