What is the difference between a biological sciences degree and a Biology degree?

I'm off to uni next year and am pretty much sorted with what i'm going to study but i was just wondering if there is a difference between a Biological Sciences degree and a Biology degree other than the course title, and if so, what differences are there?

I don't think there's a difference.

On Southampton's website, they seem to use the term interchangeably.

"Biology" is listed in the A-Z list of courses, but not "biological sciences". But then when you click on the "biology" link, it uses the term "biological sciences":

Also, on wikipedia it redirects "biological sciences" to "biology".

Seeming as you're asking about this, I'd be really grateful if you could help me! What I want to know is, do you have to have an A level in chemistry to do biology at uni? What about an AS level? Or neither? Or is it not necessary, but helpful?

Edit: You do a degree in biology and then might go on to do a more specific biological science, eg. botany, zoology, microbiology. Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology
